The bay entrance lies approximately by 48°40'43
'' North and 04°19'08'' West.
Coming from the sea, the fairway leaves Toullcos
( " East cardinal " Buoy) and Ar Peich to starboard.,
steering at 178° true , you will come into the bay
entrance
, to port
"An Neudenn " beacon tower.
Sailing Directions , recommand, when entering the harbour , to steer the
route given by the transit : Tour
Blanche landmark in line with
Plouneour-Trez Church Tower.
The semaphore
station and Pontusval
Lighthouse are two conspicuous
landmarks , west of the entrance.

Yachtsmen
are reminded to pay attention to the rate of tide in this area , Currents
run parralel to the coast (perpendicularly to the fairway) and can reach
up to3 knots at Spring tides.
Mooring and anchoring , is rather easy , but drying out is necessary.
Yachts witch have legs , or lifting keel yachts, will find it easy, on a
hard sand bottom.
